Adam Parker, DO

Lakeland native and University of Florida graduate Dr. Adam Parker earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania and finished his residency in Orlando at Florida Hospital East. He feels that building and maintaining community is important for any medical practice since the doctor-patient relationship is founded upon integrity, trust, and honesty.

At Trinity Medical Center, Dr. Parker insists on being completely honest with patients about potential results, the best procedures for any given condition, and any side effects. He is committed to treating patients individually and designing procedures to custom-fit each person according to their desires and needs.

Dr. Parker is a licensed Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). This license offers not only the four-year medical-school training of an M.D., but also the additional skill of osteopathic manipulative medicine and techniques. These techniques have been shown to improve treatment results for a range of problems when used in conjunction with traditional surgery and prescriptions. In pursuing this additional training, Dr. Parker is one of the many cutting-edge physicians who have added osteopathic training to an “M.D. base set” of skills and knowledge.

To find out more about the Doctor of Osteopathy degree, visit the American Osteopathic Association website. Dr. Parker is a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) as well as the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). He is board-certified and licensed in the state of Florida. Dr. Parker is also a physician at Lakeland Regional and Bartow Regional Hospitals.

Most physicians can apply current medical practices to your particular condition, but Dr. Parker will treat you as a holistic individual, not simply as an “ailment” or “project.” To be treated by him is to get to know him, which is a course of action his current patients recommend.
